GEA Refrigeration Technologies is the first manufacturer of ice machines in Europe. Designed according to a simple principle, GEA Geneglace ice generators benefit from over 50 years technical experience and a continuous policy of development, for unbeatable quality. With more than 40 products, GEA Refrigeration Technologies offers the largest range available on the market.
These ice generators are at the heart of the GEA technology. They are to be connected to an existing refrigeration system. The generators capacity varies from 500 kg to 50 tons/day.
As the motion is slow and smooth it requires little maintenance. The design is based on a static cylinder with few moving parts and no rotary seals. The cylinder is fully insulated. This means that all the refrigeration is transferred directly to the water.

The Ice Packs are complete assemblies ready for operation after connection to water and electricity. On-site installation is minimal. They offer increased production due to optimisation of the combined ice-generator/condensing unit.
The capacity of the Ice Packs vary between 350 to 26.000 kg of flake-ice per 24 hours.

GEA Geneglace orbital silos hygienically store the flake-ice in ideal conditions. The fully automatic ice discharge system ensures delivery on demand, without the hassle of handling. Operates along the FIFO mode (First in-First Out). Preserves the quality of the ice. Made of food-compatible materials. Does not contaminate the ice. The flake-ice supplied is thus of a constant quality, with no build up of hard lumps.

Options for orbital silos :
Combined with an ice-maker, the compactor transforms the flakes into blocks. 40 to 50 blocks of 25 kg each are pressed every hour automatically. Requiring little space, it enables the operator to either supply ice in flakes or blocks.
